Our History

Serving You Since 1884

Valley Central Bank has a rich history of serving its community, dating back to its inception on June 16, 1884, when it opened its doors in the back of what was then known as the Fladungs Hotel and Saloon at 421 Benson St. Originally known as the German Building and Loan Association, the institution quickly gained prominence for its focus on providing home loans—a service that many banks of the time overlooked.

In November of 1919, the association rebranded as Valley Central and relocated to 423 Benson St. As the demand for its services continued to grow, construction began in 1961 for a new building at 115 West Benson St., providing a modern and accessible space for its operations.

Fast forward to July 2015, when Valley Central Bank expanded its footprint with the opening of a second location and new main office in Liberty Township on Princeton Glendale Road. This state-of-the-art retail facility also serves as the company's operations center.

In the spring of 2019, Valley Central Bank merged with American Savings Bank of Middletown, adding one more location in Butler County at 701 N. University Blvd in Middletown. With a combined banking experience of 265 years, Valley Central has solidified its reputation as a leader in the community, providing home mortgages, loans to small businesses, and a wide range of deposit products to meet diverse needs.

The company's management team, along with its dedicated employees, embody the values of friendliness, helpfulness, and customer-centricity, making Valley Central Bank the preferred choice for banking needs. With its commitment to excellence and community service, Valley Central Bank truly represents “ Better Way to Bank .”
